Aarhus, Denmark: Associate Professor in evolutionary biology Tisk

The Department of Bioscience, Aarhus University, invites applications for a position as Associate Professor in evolutionary biology and genetics starting March 1, 2015.

The research in evolutionary biology and genetics at the Department of Bioscience is conducted within the framework of the research group Genetics, Ecology and Evolution located on campus in Aarhus A broad range of research topics are covered, including evolutionary ecology, population genetics and genomics, life-history evolution, behavioral ecology, and evolutionary responses to environmental stress.

We seek a researcher with a strong international research profile within evolutionary genetics and evolutionary ecology, who has documented abilities to target important research topics using state-of-the-art experimental, molecular and/or theoretical approaches. The candidate should furthermore have extensive experience with teaching and student supervision, particularly concerning topics related to evolutionary biology.

Approximately half of the position is allocated to work in Centre for Science Education with educational development at Science and Technology, particularly development of the scientific staff's supervision competencies.

The candidate is expected to have primary interest in science education in addition to excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
