PhD opportunity in ecological genomics at the Institute of Biodiversity,
Animal Health & Comparative Medicine at the University of Glasgow
A competitive fully-funded PhD studentship will be available to study
comparative ecological genomics of freshwater fishes with Kathryn Elmer

We are looking for a highly motivated PhD candidate to study the evolution of pheromone communication in Leptopilina wasps, parasitoids of Drosophila larvae. For this we will use methods of analytical chemistry (GC-MS, headspace techniques, thermal desorption GC) in combination with behavioral experiments and a molecular phylogeny. The position (65% TV-L E13) is funded by the DFG and limited to three years.
